Connecting private forest owners of Northern New York with forest products customers. • 2007
The New York Forest Owners Association approached Gorges Web Sites to find an innovative way to connect sellers of New York's specialty forest products with a worldwide audience.
Central to their idea was utilizing a map interface to enable browsing of multiple products across multiple counties in New York State. The Gorges web team rolled up their sleeves and delivered a Web 2.0 site fully integrated into the Google Earth / Google Maps interface. The design is great, the navigation is smooth, and the user experience is honed to quickly guide prospective purchasers of these products to the seller.
Users interactively select products their are interested, and all matches appear integrated with Google Maps!
