Position: Senior Internet Engineer

Ithaca-based Gorges Web Sites has an immediate need of a skilled programmer to join our rapidly-growing technology company. We develop and host cutting-edge transactional web applications, and specialize in leveraging open source solutions.

We're building Web 2.0 sites for clients up and down the east coast. Our proven software development techniques are winning accolades from firms large and small.

Requirements:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 4 yrs + of Internet development experience
• Experience with modern development frameworks utilizing MVC and ORM
• Ability to develop as part of a team
• Solid communications skills
• Ability to skillfully interact with customers

Competent in technologies including:

• Cold Fusion, PHP, Ruby on Rails, other modern languages
• Linux, Microsoft .NET
• Open source development and integration
• Advanced CSS and Javascript (AJAX)
• XML / XHTML
• MySQL, SQL Server 2005
• Ability to code to written specifications

This position can be contract or full time. Most of your work time will be in our Ithaca, NY offices, but occasionally working from home is OK.

Position: Junior Internet Programmer

Ithaca-based Gorges Web Sites is looking for a talented Internet programmer to join our rapidly-growing technology company. We develop and host cutting-edge transactional web applications, and specialize in leveraging open source solutions. We have a diverse set of both internal and client-driven projects.

The ideal candidate has a computer science education and experience in developing web sites. There are many growth and learning opportunities with this position, and great work will not go unrewarded.
