Challenge:

Create a retail shopping cart solution that perfectly matches an already successful blog site TChing.com.

Solution:

Gorges Web Sites built TChingStore.com along with design partner The Happy Corp. The Happy Corp had built the original TChing.com, using the open-source software Wordpress to manage the content and conversation around their topics.

Products are displayed proudly, and related items appear in a cross-sell area

Gorges recommended the open-source software zen-cart, with customized templates for TChing. The artists and designers at The Happy Corp then created a 'look' and 'style guide' for us. Once the design and functionality were defined, we set out to work.

We created quality CSS and markup that performed equally well in all modern browsers:

• Internet Explorer 6
• Internet Explorer 7
• Firefox 2 (PC or MAC)
• Safari (Macintosh)

The open source software zen-cart provides a broad base of e-tailer store management tools

To complete the site, we:

• deployed a new zen-cart installation on their production server
• created custom zen-cart templates using our CSS and HTML
• extended zen-cart with some improvements previously developed for AmysBabies.com
• attached the SSL for security
• integrated with merchant account
• train TChing employees on the use of the various components launch!

The engineering budget on this entire project was less than $10K. Almost unbelievable value delivered that will have a very high return on investment for this custom web site solution.
