Matt worked in academia, corporate research labs and several technology startup companies prior to Gorges Web Sites. His expertise is software architecture, database development, and system administration. Matt brings Gorges Web Sites over 25 years experience developing fast and robust software on a multitude of platforms and languages.

His comprehensive and elegant object-oriented programming style allows our team to create solutions that can be modified and extended cost effectively.


Chris and his wife Kim are avid polo players Christopher A. Grant - Chief Operational Officer - (Graduate courses in Computer Science, NYU; B.S. Computer Science, Cornell University School of Engineering, 1992)

Chris has been building Internet web sites and commerce applications since 1994, pioneering early database-driven web application and e-commerce projects. He has been instrumental in construction of hundreds of Internet projects, large and small. Chris' skills include:

Chris' primary job is to make sure Gorges Web Sites software projects meet the highest standards, and have maximum impact for all target audiences. His most important job is client services manager. He's the one you'll talk with most of the time on the phone. Chris is personable and knowledgeable and very interested in helping you grow your business.

With Team Gorges since the beginning, David handles all aspects of dynamic web site and application development from visual design and data modeling to production. His skills include:

Greg is a sharp and agile guy Greg Kops - Senior Engineer - (B.A. Psychology, Cornell University, 2001)

Greg is a senior engineer, responsible for the design, development, and long term maintenance of our large client web systems. He has been building dynamic, web-based software for small business and academic clients for since early 2000.

Having been self-employed for over 5 years prior to working with Gorges Web Sites, he has broad experience and familiarity with every step of the software and web development process, including business planning, specifications, software design, programming, troubleshooting and support. Greg's professional skills include:

  • MVC application design and programming in Cold Fusion, PHP, and Ruby
  • Data modeling in XML, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS Access, and SQL Server

Ted runs marathons David E. (Ted) Caldwell - Senior Engineer - (M.A. Linguistics, McGill University, 1994; M.Sc. Mathematics, McGill U., 1987; B.Sc. Mathematics, University of Saskatchewan, 1985)

Ted has been designing and developing innovative Internet and desktop applications since 1995, using a variety of technologies. His experience covers all phases of software development, from initial software architecture to end-user documentation, and he combines solid technical skills with a flair for visual design and presentation.

Sue is Gorges office and support manager Sue Wiedenbeck - Office and Support Manager - (M.S. Systems Engineering, 1986, University of Arizona; B.S. Physics, 1984, St. Bonaventure University)

Sue is Gorges Web Sites office and support manager. She has over 10 years experience as Network Engineer with AT&T and Bell Labs, and more recently with AppliedTheory and NYSERnet.

musician Sean of Gorges Web Sites Sean Kobuk Kennedy - Web Designer and Developer - (B.A. Music, Hampshire College, Amherst Mass., 1990)

Sean arrived at Gorges Web Sites after many years of audio engineering, performing and teaching music. He found effective cross-over in his talents in working with music production to working on web site production.

Sean is our 'small web site' specialist, meeting one-on-one with small area business owners to learn their needs and develop an effective and affordable web site that perfectly suits them. Sean leverages all of Gorges Web Sites engineering and site development expertise to bring the best possible solution to our smaller projects. Sean's responsibilities include:

Dan has been involved in the technology industry for over 25 years. Fresh out of Cornell, his first company was teaching programming and Dan has been the principal in many technology businesses in the years since.

Dan excels at analyzing and applying technology solutions to businesses and business processes. Dan is an experienced web developer, having been instrumental in dozens of web sites, primarily on Windows platforms
